When did you start writing?

Probably when I was about 5! But, seriously, I think I started around 2008 when I was in the Police and had been involved in the 'Ipswich serial murders' as a Family Liaison officer and started penning a book called 'Nominal One', about a pair of serial killers (Fancy that!). I still haven't finished that one! I then started several books, adding to them when I got chance, which wasn't very often. I retired from the Police in 2019 and since then have had a bit more time to sit down and think about where these stories were going. Hence, I have now started to publish them as i finish them.

What areas of fiction do you specialise in?

I don't really fit into any one category. I like to write about subjects that interest me or have been suggested by friends and family. I have had suggestions that I stick to police drama but having been in 'The Job' I can tell you that it is not as exciting as it is made out in the crime books I've read! I was in the Police for 29 years and although I have missed it since I retired I'm not sure it's something I want to write about. Time will tell!
